Jim Reiser, Head Coach

Coaching makes the difference. Wolfpack Head Coach Jim Reiser is a 3rd generation coach and holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and coaching. Coach Reiser will not only teach your son to play like a champion on the court, but he also uses the sport of basketball to teach kids how to become champions in life.

Reiser is a certified YBCA Basketball Coach and also certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance. In addition to being certified in First Aid and CPR, he is also certified by the CDC in "Heads Up" concussion training, which qualifies Jim to help identify potential concussions.

Coach Reiser is NOT a part-time coach. He is a "career coach" and is a world-renowned speaker in coaching education. Jim also travels around the country as a participant himself to major coaching conferences and clinics each year. He believes that without continuing education and the willingness to change and try new things that you can not improve. This philosophy gives his Wolfpack players a competitive edge.

Coach Reiser has been influenced by legends like John Wooden, Bobby Knight, Coach K, Hubie Brown, and Dick Bennett, as well to today’s top coaches like Rick Pitino, Sean Miller, Bo Ryan, Tom Izzo and Bill Self. He has also been mentored by Dave Roman Sr., "the Shot Doctor," and has had numerous consultations with former NBA #1 draft pick Bob Bigelow and world-renowned author and coach Dr. Brian McCormick.

Last but not least, coaching is in his blood.  Jim's passion to coach began in the locker rooms, on the court, and on the field with both his father and grandfather who coached high school sports for more than forty years, Jim's grandfather coached NFL Pittsburgh Steeler Hall of Fame Linebacker Jack Ham and is a member of the Bishop McCort Hall of Fame in Johnstown, PA. Jim's father, also an extremely successful coach--coached former Arizona Cardinal's running back LaRod Stephens-Howling.

To Coach Reiser there's nothing in the world he'd rather do than play a small part in developing our future generation by using youth sports as a means to teach life's most important lessons.

The S.C. Wolfpack is an official member of both AAU Basketball and the National Travel Basketball Association (NTBA).
